Stephen Bissette
Stephen R. Bissette, a pioneer graduate of the Joe Kubert School, now teaches at the Center for Cartoon Studies and is renowned for Swamp Thing, Taboo (launching From Hell and Lost Girls), '1963,' Tyrant, co-creating John Constantine, and creating the world's second '24-Hour Comic' (initially invented by Scott McCloud for Bissette). He writes, illustrates, and has co-authored many books; his latest is Teen Angels & New Mutants: Rick Veitch’s Brat Pack and the Art, Karma, and Commerce of Killing Sidekicks (2011); his short story “Copper” appears in The New Dead (2010), and he illustrated The Vermont Monster Guide (2009).
